All of you have a point - yes, there is a temptation to over- exam, over-test, over-diagnose, over-treat...but please be aware, that the legal climate in the U.S. has lead to a lot of this.

I haven't read all 600+ comments so I apologize if I am beating a dead horse...but it looks to me like you can get away with murder just by making sure that enough time passes that the cause of death can't be positively established.

You need to have your head examined if you are buying this car. The Leaf is much better, though if you travel you'll need a traditional gas-powered car or a hybrid. GM doesn't have a good track record with new technologies and this won't be any different.

So it looks like all the talk about breaking the cycle of poverty, crime, hopelessness is really just talk. At least she HAS the foresight to try to get a good education for her child; many parents in similar situations do not.

the fact is, if adoption were easier, more couples would adopt rather than negotiating complex and expensive treatment with no guarantees of success.

A fair amount of money is gobbled up by understandably desperate patients who will do anything to live longer - including very expensive treatments will don't work or only prolong life by a very short period of time.

What medications need - and what someone needs it for - is a conversation that should be entirely between a patient and their doctor. Americans are too medication dependent and this certainly only makes it worse.
